Donor Recognition

HTCCR very much appreciates the donations received from large donors and recognizes them accordingly. Some donors like to remain anonymous and we respect that too.

Advisory Council: As per the Bylaws of HTCCR, an Advisory Council was established in 2017. Any donor, whose total donations to HTCCR since 2006 exceeds $10,000 qualifies to become a member of the Advisory Council. Currently there are 91 members, who as a group have donated more than $4 million. This has helped a lot in building the new temple and its operation and maintenance. The Advisory Council, through its chair, advises the HTCCR Board of Trustees on strategic and policy matters. The Advisory Council has also been given the privilege of nominating one third of the HTCCR Trustees.

There are 5 donor categories:

  • Silver Donors (Total Donation $10,000 to $25,000)
  • Gold Donors (Total Donations $25,000 to $50,000)
  • Platinum Donors (Total Donations $50,000 to $100,000)
  • Pearl Donors (Total Donations $100,000 to $200,000)
  • Diamond Donors (Total Donations above $200,000)

As donors continue to donate year after year, many of them have upgraded to higher donor categories. An electronic Recognition Plaque, showing the names of donors in various categories, in order of their total donation amount, is displayed on a large screen TV in the temple lobby. Pearland Diamond Donors are also honored by individual Recognition Plaques placed on the walls of the hallways on the upper floor of the temple. If you would like to join this distinguished group, please contact the Advisory Council chair, Mahesh Jha, at: jhaji@htccr.org

Other Recognition Plaques: From time to time, HTCCR has organized Fundraising drives for specific purposes such as purchase of the land for the new temple, construction of the new temple, construction of the kitchen, installing Navagraha deities etc. These donors have been recognized on Recognition Plaques displayed in the Basement Hall.
